We just shipped one of the most requested features on repertoar.bg — a set of small tools that turn every song page from a static sheet into your own working copy of that song.Two things are new:

  1. Personal transposition — save the key you actually sing in, per song.

   2.Personal notes — jot down anything you want to remember about a song, visible only to you.

Both features live right on the song page, next to the controls you already know (Key, Capo, Tuning). Everything is per-user and per-song, so what you save on one song never leaks into another, and no one else sees your notes.

Save your own transposition

Every singer has that one song that’s written in a key that just doesn’t sit right. Until now, you had to transpose the chords every single time you opened the song. Not anymore.

• Transpose the song up or down using the existing arrows — now in half-tone steps, so you get true chromatic precision (all 12 semitones), not just whole tones.
• The moment you move away from the original key, a Save transposition button lights up.
• Click it, confirm in the popup, and that’s it — next time you open this song (from any device, as long as you’re logged in), the chords load already transposed to your key.
• A small badge appears on the song telling you “You’ve previously saved this as your default tuning for this song.” — so you always know why the chords look different from the original.
• Changed your mind? A Reset tuning button appears whenever a saved transposition exists. It resets both the view and the database back to the original key.

Personal notes on any song

Right next to the transposition control there’s a new note button (with a proper little speech-bubble icon and a hand cursor, because yes — it’s clickable 🙂).

• Click it and a textarea slides in with Save and Clear buttons.
• Write anything you want: an intro cue, a strumming pattern, a story about who requested this song at a gig, the exact capo position that works with your guitar — whatever helps you.
• Save it, and your note appears above the lyrics, in a clean card, every time you open that song.
• Only you can see it. Even the song’s owner won’t see other users’ notes.
• Want to remove it? Click Clear, confirm in the (custom, non-browser) modal, and it’s gone.

Why we built it

repertoar.bg has always been about making it easier to actually play the songs, not just read them. Different voices, different guitars, different gigs — one static version of a song was never enough. With personal tuning and personal notes, the site finally adapts to you instead of the other way around.

Open any song and give it a try. Transpose it, save it, add a note. Next time you come back, it’ll feel like the site remembered exactly how you like to sing it — because it did.
